Thanks for the comment.
I do like my Garmin Forerunner 220. One can certainly exercise without this, but Why? This thing is great and easy to use. The major feature is that it hooks to Garmin Connect and uploads all data. Garmin Connect puts the data on a map, and also posts graphs of things like heart beat and elevation. It is helpful and motivating. I can also look and see what my future race peers are doing each day. (I am well behind them now, but gaining).
Not sure what you mean by my "health stats".
- Had a blood work up a couple weeks back and all is normal. I don't take any medications. My blood pressure runs toward too low as opposed to too high.
- My weight continues to drop at about a pound a week. I had hoped to loose 40 pounds and be at 170 by the New year, looks like I will be at that in October.
- A few aches and pains show up, mostly in my arches and left knee. This morning my left ham string cramped and is now sore. Overall, by using a solid plan and rebuilding slowly, mechanical body parts are holding up OK. Any fool can run himself into the ground, I am trying not to be that fool. Now is for building a base. I don't start to "train" until January.
Here is my Garmin page for a 3 mile slog. It is amazingly accurate.
