I had hoped by now to be running 4 minute miles.
Actually, I had wondered if I could stick to jogs on a regular basis.
I have! For 6 weeks now, I have been consistent. I am proud of me. Maybe I was just bored, because in spite of all the pain and misery, I am enjoying this.
I have gained some strength and cardio function in just 6 weeks. I have even lost a couple pounds. I am doing 3 miles a day on my miserable mountain course and working some on my Bowflex with light resistance. I am not sure if I want to be Bill Rodgers or Arnold Schwarzenegger. Right now I am John Belushi.
Now I have to take 17 days off for eye surgery. Will that crash my exercise program?
I go in Wednesday for laser cataract surgery on my broke eye, then back for the other eye next week. The Doc says no exercise or straining (not even on the toilet) of any type until a week after surgery. The web says a month.
I was kinda getting in to a routine. I like routine, hate spontaneous.
17 days of just sitting on my ass is a long time.
Will it kill my motivation?
