It is good to be back outside on the porch computer.
The lake has been down about 25 feet. I have a floating dock, and I have chased the water's edge with it long after everyone else gave up. (95% of the people living on the lake make use of it between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Even then, I mostly have it to myself during weekdays. In the Winter I see few boats. With no water the last few months, there have been none as the docks are on dry land and the boat ramps have all closed. Even I covered my boat and bought a Kayak to fish from.
I love the lake in Winter. So many different ducks and birds come in, and like I said – I mostly have it to myself. The fishing is good all year.
The water has been coming back. We up about 5 foot from the low point now. While moving my dock back in a few days ago, I killed my back. I have been mostly moving slow to not at all and in pain.
I am an idiot ! I understand how to lift and pull, but screwed up and will do better when I heal. Lucky, it is rainy weather, so I am not missing much, just getting in a lot of quality TV time. I have about 30 DVDs backed up to watch, so no problem there.
I also have been sitting in the bed shopping on the laptop. Don't worry about the economy, Paris Hilton and I spent a bundle this week. Send me money – please !
I found LED night lights for my Kayak. I will need those this April when the big bass run up the river. I had to buy that, or I might get a ticket or get run over by a big boat in the dark.
While shopping the web, I FINALLY found a dusk to dawn light switch that works on 12 volts. I needed that for the dock, and of course bought the led bulbs to go with it. I have had a big solar panel down there for years that charges my trolling batteries, and now I will have lots of light there every night. I also got a new lantern and a new bulb ($25) for the police flashlight I have had for 20 years.
Send me money !
